Children and their families are at the heart of the development of the Children’s Nursing Research Unit at Alder Hey which was launched in 2008. The Unit is leading and contributing to multidisciplinary studies whilst celebrating the particular contribution that children’s nurses bring to research. The CNRU will be collaborative and inclusive and work across boundaries and across institutions. It will lead/ contribute to multidisciplinary studies whilst celebrating the particular contribution that children’s nurses bring to research. In particular the CNRU will do research that:
l benefits children and families,
l is collaborative and inclusive,
l nurses will want to get involved in and which is inspired by nurses, children and their families.
