Qualified to City & Guilds 7061 & 7062 or NVQ equivalent and have 2 years experience of working within a busy environment. To work in the Catering Department you must be enthusiastic well-organised, highly motivated with plenty of energy and be very passionate about the catering we provide for our patients and our busy modern restaurant. You will be responsible and accountable for following catering procedures including maintaining an excellent HACCP system, planning, organising and creating excellent food while being flexible and able to provide an excellent service. You will work within the kitchen and restaurant as part of the Catering team therefore it is essential to demonstrate good communication skills, be able to be an excellent team member and have excellent customer service skills. You will also hold an Accredited Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to train for one. The successful candidate must be willing to work over a 7 day week between the hours of 7am – 8pm and enjoy the benefits of enhancements payments for the weekend working. | Further Info: | Exciting Opportunity in Academic Paediatric Pharmacology for F2 doctors Next year, the Mersey Deanery is able to offer an Academic Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Pharmacology. This post will provide basic paediatric training(to prepare the trainee for the membership exam) and the opportunity to undertake research in the field of Paediatric Pharmacology. This post will be based at the Royal Liverpool Children’s Hospital. Entry will be at ST1 (next August). This post is to be advertised shortly (Nov) and interviews will be held on 22nd January 2009 (applying does not preclude you from applying for a standard training programme at a later date). ACF Trainees will be encouraged and supported to follow an academic path; however they will be able to move straight into a standard paediatric training route at the end of the three year Fellowship if they choose. You will be supervised and work in a multi-disciplinary team with medical, nursing and pharmacy colleagues from the Trust, University of Liverpool and John Moores University studying manipulation of licensed dosage forms to achieve accurate administration to children. You will also help develop a risk assessment tool and good practice guidelines.
