Organisation Structure

The Trust has approximately 2400 staff who are based either on the Alder Hey Hospital Site, Eaton Road, Liverpool L12 2AP or at one of 30 sites out in the community.

The structure of the Trust is that the Executive Team is accountable to the Trust Board and the Care Groups are accountable to the Executive Team. There are 5 Care Groups:

Clinical Support Services
Community & Mental Health
Corporate Services
Medical
Surgical

Each of the 4 clinical Care Groups have a Care Group Manager and Clinical Director who have support from Assistant Care Group Managers and Associate Directors or Lead Clinicians.

The Corporate Services Care Group does not have a single manager as it represents many distinct departments such as Human Resources, Finance and IM&T. A diagram of how the Care Groups are structured is available here.

Executive and Non Executives are full Trust Board members.
Allan Mowatt is Secretary to the Board and Ros Smyth attends meetings on behalf of the Institute of Child Health.
