We provide world class healthcare for more than 200,000 children
and young people every year.
We were authorised as a Foundation Trust on the 1st August 2008 after an intensive period of assessment of the Trust’s future plans by the Regulator, together with the recruitment of more than 13,500 members and the election/appointment of a Council of Governors.
We will remain part of the NHS, but we believe we will gain the
following benefits:
- We will have stronger links with children, families, carers
and the communities we serve, so their needs will be at the heart
of everything we do.
- Our staff will have a greater involvement in shaping our future.
- We will be able to make crucial decisions about new services
and facilities more independently.
- We will have more say over how we manage our finances.
Please consider becoming a member. We need your views and experiences to help us improve the services and care we give to children, young people and their families.
