Election of Council of Governors
We currently have over 13,500 members. There are many benefits to membership.
Members will:
- Have the opportunity to find out more about what goes on at Alder Hey and by giving their opinions and views can shape the way the Trust develops in the future.
- Receive a quarterly newsletter which contains news about the Trust, tips on keeping healthy and member stories.
- Be able to vote for other members to represent them on the Council of Governors or if they wish, stand for election themselves.
- Be invited to events such as the Annual Members Meeting, focus groups and open days to share your experiences of Alder Hey with other members and staff.
- Be eligible for discounts from a number of retailers via www.nhsdiscounts.com
You can decide how involved you want to be, some members just prefer to receive a newsletter and some like to take part in events and a few wish to give even greater commitment by standing for election as a Governor.
Children can become members from as young as 7 and will receive a goody bag on joining. Our younger members have specially tailored activities and newsletters to suit their interests and also have their own Governors (aged 16-19) to represent their views.
